The Grand Canyon, USA

I have visited The Grand Canyon a few times whilst I've been in Las Vegas as I bought it as a trip to coincide with my time in the States.

It's a truly breathtaking experience - the vastness of the Canyon itself and the views are outstanding! You can never take the same photo twice as the shadows move and the sun. It is absolutely a place I'd highly recommend going to.

It was an early morning pick-up at my hotel in Las Vegas (approx 4.30am) by coach. We then travelled around to pick up other passengers and then we all headed to the main transfer hub in Vegas so that we could change onto minibuses that correspond to which part of The Grand Canyon you were going to.

I chose Grand Canyon West with the Hualapai Ranch and the Grand Canyon West Rim Skywalk. The Skywalk. is a horseshoe-shaped, glass bridge hanging over the canyon 4000 feet above the riverbed. It's an incredible experience to have walked it. (you have to put covers over your shoes and also put all your belongings into a locker so that you don't accidentally drop anything into the canyon). The staff take photos of you that you can purchase.

The view of the Grand Canyon are phenomenal and the only thing I'd say is to not go too close to the edge. Take lots of photos and videos - enjoy the day and also ask other people to take your photo too, especially if you're solo-travelling.

When you arrive at the Grand Canyon West, you are given a timer clock to carry with you, as the time zone is different to Las Vegas. You are also given a map, as there are different destinations on the map for you to travel to, to experience the Grand Canyon before the final pickup to go back to Las Vegas. the transport from one destination to the other is free.

You can have lunch at the Grand Canyon, as I was given a voucher so you hand that over and they sort out lunch for you to eat in the most beautiful and picturesque surroundings. There are shops for you to browse and buy items in. I bought a dreamcatcher made by the ladies of the Hualapai Tribe and I still have it now in my bedroom.

There is an opportunity to fly in a helicopter too, but I'd definitely say plan your day as you don't want to miss the transport back to Las Vegas.

Truly, a remarkable, incredible and amazing place to visit - that's why I've been a few times. It is stunning. Respect to the tribes, the staff who work there and all the people that take care of the Grand Canyon.

Highly recommended to have it on your life list to tick off.

Make memories, have fun and enjoy life.
